The success of President Hyper Krugersdorp has been overwhelming. In a very short time the iconic store is performing in the top five of all Hypermarkets in South Africa. As is the case with the Fochville store, customers travel from Pretoria, Rustenburg, Vanderbijl Park and many other areas further afield defying all retail trends.

Why do President Hyper Customers travel so far? In order to change behavior the rewards have to be BIG and one has to exceed the customer's expectations. President Hyper has done just that. Firstly with its consistently excellent prices and secondly with a world class facility that will delight every shopper looking for the best range of products in fantastic facility with staff that love what they do.

Although the store is one of the biggest food retailers in Africa it is already remodeling to accommodate the fantastic increase in demand. In an effort to please an ever increasing following, twenty five percent extra space has been created to ease congestion and to ensure a smooth, quick and efficient check out service. The expansion i.e. 20 extra checkouts to the total 62 has made month end shopping quick an efficient. We pride ourselves on having all checkouts manned during peak periods.

Not withstanding any of the above, President Hyper remains humble in its attitude and extremely grateful to its customers for choosing to shop at its facility. In its quest for excellence, President Hyper will continue to be innovative and will aggressively negotiate the best possible deals for the benefit of the most important people in our lives - Our Customers.

I am proudly South African. My parents where born in Sparta, Greece and this heritage form the cornerstone of my beliefs. After completing my b-comm at Wits and a short stint in auditing, I joined my family business. I believe that all people must be treated with respect and in a dignified manner. I try and surround myself with like minded colleagues. I absolutely enjoy retailing and welcome my daily challenges. My passion is my family. My wife and children are the centre of my universe. I am blessed to have a father that began the business and is still actively involved in our day to day activities. Our credo tells it all regarding our approach to business.

As a West Rand girl I have been involved with President Hyper for more than 20 years and lead a very active life. My qualifications include B.Compt, Articles, Advance Tax Certificate, PADI-Emergency First Response and memberships of SAIPA, SARS Tax Practitioners and others. The challenges and achievements of the President Group is remarkable and an exciting journey. My two amazing sons and being a Christian keeps me motivated and I love making a difference in people's lives.

Born in La Rochelle, Jhb on 18 January 1961 & grew up in Mayfair, Jhb & presently living in Helderkruin, Roodepoort. Employed currently at President Hyper since April 2003 & previously worked at Royal Beechnut/Nabisco/Kraft from 1984 to 2001 & was a National Sales Manager when I left the company. I was also involved in a business partnership at Tropical Distributors from 2001 to 2003. Educated at Mayfair/Western High School where I matriculated in 1978 & then studied Civil Engineering at Wits Technikon till 1980. I completed two (2) years compulsory military service in the army from 1980 to 1982 at the 5th South African Infantry Battalion in Ladysmith & then at 32 Battalion in Buffalo, Namibia. I am married to Ana de Sousa since 1989 & have two (2) daughters, Demi Sanchia & Amor Saschia. I played competitive soccer for Rangers, Brothers, Ramblers, Roodepoort City & Wits Old Boys football clubs from 1976 to 2006. My interests are soccer, sport, gym, German shepherd dogs (I own three), nature & game drives/viewing. I am a Roman Catholic by religion. At President Hyper I head up the Grocery Department &  I also am the Chief Buyer negotiating pricing, deals, rebates, pamphlet advertising & display with our suppliers. I am honoured to work with a passionate grocery team.

NICK KARAYIANNIDES

I was born in Thessalonki, Greece, the birth place of Alexander The Great. After matriculating from St John Bosco College, I completed a internationally recognised diploma in marketing. My successful & happy work career includes various owner run businesses as well as the stewardship of a listed company. I am grateful for being surrounded by excellent colleagues & family, in my endeavours. I enjoy travelling with my family, hiking with my children, movies & good food is my passion. I head up the bakery, butchery, deli, meal section, fresh produce as well as the marketing for our stores. I consider my inclusion in the President Hyper team as a privilege.
